Vintage terrine in earthenware by Michel Caugant - Roe Deer / Stag shape

This iconic piece depicts a deer lying on a bed of grass, with remarkable detail in the modelling of the fur and antlers. Entirely handcrafted and painted, it bears the famous signature on the base: "This piece in genuine earthenware has been entirely made by hand. I offer it to you exclusively. Michel Caugant." In general vintage condition. Please note a small discreet chip on the tip of one antler (see photos).
