Etienne Daniel is the ceramist known for his thistle designs from Vallauris in the 1950s and 60s. This decoration featuring purple thistles is his signature. This object was originally what is called a table bin. However, it seems much more beautiful when used as a plant pot or vase, without its lid. It is made of glazed ceramic, hand-decorated, and signed on the reverse. In perfect condition, with no glazing defects, cracks, chips, or flakes. The interior is white, without stains or scratches.
