The original wood has been carefully stripped, sanded, and then protected with a clear matte varnish to preserve its natural appearance and history. The interior, originally painted in that typical ivory colour of the 1950s, has simply been refreshed while retaining this colour that brings brightness and softness, in a country house/cottage chic spirit. The piece retains its beautiful period details: Old textured glass with atypical shapes. Original handles and clasps. Functional drawers. Dark checkerboard effect top. Raw wood, probably beech for the structure and fir for the shelves. Beautiful curves and old finishes.
