This elegant antique candlestick is made of bronze. Dating from the 18th century, it is a rare Louis XIV chandelier: it has an octagonal shape, with a scalloped lower part and hand-chiselled details. Tool marks can be seen underneath, showcasing a beautifully crafted artisanal work. With a lovely golden hue, this torch has withstood the test of time: the candlestick was essential for lighting before electricity. Grouped together for a château ambiance or at the table for a candlelit dinner, it always offers a timeless decoration. Dimensions: 23.5 cm in height X 13 cm. In generally good condition, I note signs of use and traces of oxidation.
