This large Spanish candlestick in brass dates from circa 1680-1730. The low bell base and the strongly profiled stem give the candlestick a sturdy, monumental presence. A fine example of late 17th / early 18th-century Spanish metalwork. Its powerful, almost architectural form makes this candlestick an object that fills a room even without a candle. Striking on its own or combined with other antique candlesticks, in a classic, rustic or wabi-sabi interior. Condition: good, with patina.
