Lacquered Japanese box with the royal motto of the Netherlands

Pretty little lacquered japanese box. Inside a gilded metal medal, one can read the royal motto of the netherlands, adorned with a lion: "i will maintain". This motto has been the currency of the netherlands since 1815. Nice lock plate, worked. Close with one button. Decorated with flowers and foliage. Interior lacquered and gilded, as glitter.
