Duo of Tea Cups and Saucers Japanese Kutani Porcelain

Charming duo of tea cups and their matching saucers made of Japanese porcelain of the "egg shell" type, finely hand-painted. The polychrome decoration features geishas in traditional kimonos strolling through a flower garden, with a pagoda and Mount Fuji in the background. The style is characterized by its borders and highlights painted in iron red, typical of Kutani productions. Each piece has a calligraphic workshop signature in red under its base. Due to their fragility and condition, these poetic pieces will be perfect for enhancing a display case, serving as decorative objects, or delighting an art restoration enthusiast or Kintsugi (the Japanese art of repairing cracks with gold lacquer). Condition: Used. The exterior decoration remains very fresh and colorful. Note: one of the cups has a visible through crack on the inside, and the second cup has a small chip on the rim (see detail photos). Dimensions: • Cups: Diameter 9.5 cm|Height 4.5 cm. • Saucers: Diameter 14 cm.
