Armchair in the style of the Red & Blue Chair by Gerrit Rietveld

The icon of the "de stijl" movement, created in 1917 by gerrit rietveld. This chair is a unique piece, made by a german engineer in the 1970s for his private use. It is a very well made replica of the rietveld chair. Solid beech or oak for the structure, seat and back in multiplex panels. It is very well finished, the black parts are stained, leaving the wood grain visible, while on the colored parts the paint is covering. Very good vintage condition, with a very nice patina. A small touch-up on the upper corner of the back of the backrest. Seat height 30cm (middle of the seat).
