Very pretty antique pink opaline cup holder mounted in an elegant gilded brass structure, with a handle and an openwork gallery adorned with a frieze of Greek motifs. The removable cup has a beautiful slightly flared shape and a rich pink opaline, reminiscent of the shades known as "pigeon breast" or "hydrangea" found in 19th-century French opalines. Work from the second half of the 19th century, circa 1870-1900. Beautiful mount on a pedestal with beaded decoration, punctuated by small balls, with a metal base adorned with a small rosette. 10cm total height, approximately 9cm maximum depth including the handle. Cup alone 6.5cm in height, 7cm maximum diameter. Very good overall condition considering its age, the glass is in perfect condition. The metal has a lovely old patina, with some wear and small signs of oxidation, harmonious. Approximately 300g.
