Rare pair of original bedside tables, designed by Florence Knoll and manufactured in 1966 by Knoll International. An architect trained notably under Eliel Saarinen and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Florence Knoll has significantly influenced modern interior architecture as a co-founder of Knoll. Her own furniture is synonymous with clear geometry, perfect proportions, and timeless functionality – qualities that make these tables sought-after classics of Mid-Century design. The original Knoll International label is located underneath the piece. The legs and top are made of mahogany, featuring particularly expressive burl veneer, whose warm hue and lively pattern give each table an individual character. The recessed drawer has been freshly lacquered in an elegant off-white, creating a graphic contrast with the dark wood. A simple aluminium handle emphasises this clean design language. The tables are suitable as bedside tables, accent tables in the living room, or side tables. The tables have been fully and professionally restored: the mahogany has been carefully renovated, the drawers re-lacquered, and all joints checked. They are stable and ready for use. Condition: very good vintage condition – fully restored, drawers freshly lacquered, with only minimal signs of age-related use. A rare pair from the history of American design. Dimensions: approximately 50 × 49 × 45 cm (width × depth × height)
