Ceramic vase-pitcher Fat Lava, attributed to Bay Keramik, Germany

Vase in the shape of a jug made of glazed ceramic in the "Fat Lava" style, West German production from the 1960s-70s, attributed to Bay Keramik. Textured glaze with a volcanic effect in a gradient of beige, chocolate brown, and deep black, featuring beautiful plays of texture and reflections depending on the light. Generous sculptural handle, asymmetrical spout characteristic of the brutalist design of the era. Incised marking under the base: shape number that appears to be "107-26" followed by "Germany", accompanied by a small logo — a typical marking system of the Bay Keramik factory (Ransbach-Baumbach), one of the major names in the German Fat Lava movement. Dimensions: height 26 cm, width 24 cm. Condition: very good, no chips or cracks. An iconic piece of post-war German ceramics, perfect for a brutalist, mid-century, or 70s vintage interior, either as a standalone decorative object or with a bouquet of dried flowers.
