Date: ca. 1950. A beautiful pair of bottles with spherical caps in a very light green opaline glass. Brass strips with beaded friezes decorate the lower and upper edges. They come in different sizes. It's blown glass. Presence of old stickers from a shop in brussels, which no longer exists today. These bottles are probably italian from murano. Opal glass is a semi-crystalline glass whose translucency is created by the addition of tin and bone phosphates or ash. Opal glass was made almost exclusively in france in the 19th century. The posterior opalines are of lower quality, often molded and with a brass finish. Italy resumed the production of opaline products from the middle of the 20th century. Status: very good. No damage. One of the bottles is missing the lower brass ring. A little oxidation on a brass ring under the cap. Dimensions: 21 and 19.5 cm high, 7.5 and 6.5 cm in diameter, total weight 0.4 kg.
