French advertising cotton storage box dating from the 19th century. Gold patterns on black typical of the Napoleon III style. The front and back are both signed: CB Societe Francaise de Cotons à Coudre Paris EP. Chinese scenes painted on the lid. It is in excellent condition for its age (apart from signs of wear on one side).
