Marc Newson Orgone Chair for Cappellini 1998

Originally the Orgone chair was designed by Marc Newson in 1993 and was made in aluminum in less than 10 pieces, highy collectible and a true museum piece. In 1998 he decided to make a more affordable edition in polypropylene, which was manufactured by Cappellini Italy. The chair is an iconic example of the biomorphic style, that is typical for Marc Newson's work. It blurs the lines between functional furniture and sculptural art. The chair is marked underneath the seat. It is in good original condition. Some normal traces of wear, due to time and usage.
