An antique earthenware piece from the 1950s-60s signed HB (Hubaudière & Bousquet) Quimper, taking the form of a monobloc table butter dish with an integrated tray. Its octagonal silhouette, accentuated by two small side ears, gives it an uncommon sculptural presence, both decorative and functional. The decoration, entirely hand-painted, is distinguished by a rare graphic composition in HB Quimper production: bright ochre grid, deep blue and burgundy borders, set against an ivory background. A set with an almost modernist character, contrasting with the more classic Breton or floral decorations of Quimper. Stamped HB Quimper under the base, confirming its authenticity. Base diameter 17 cm, container diameter 9.5 cm, height 6 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, with a few small usage chips around the edge of the tray (visible in the photos), without cracks or restoration, bearing witness to its history and not affecting the stability or charm of the piece. An ideal piece for a French vintage pop or graphic cottagecore interior.
