Mid-century murano sommerso diamond-shaped ashtray / vide poche by flavio poli for seguso (murano, italy, 1960s). Made of thick brown, yellow and clear glass. It is extremely decorative. Can be used as a display piece on any table. Height: 6.3 cm; length: 13 cm; width: 13 cm. Excellent vintage condition. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
