Description
Mid-century murano sommerso diamond-shaped ashtray / vide poche by flavio poli for seguso (murano, italy, 1960s). Made of thick green, yellow/orange and clear glass. It is extremely decorative. Can be used as a display piece on any table. Height: 8 cm; length: 12 cm; width: 12 cm. It is in perfect condition. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
