Large basket with handle (fruit, empty pocket), italian renaissance décor on blue background "thibault" On the reverse, stamp of the gien manufactures "italien thibault". Adrien thibault (1844 - 1918) joined the faïencerie de gien in 1871. His trip to italy and his love for the italian renaissance inspired him to create the famous so-called "italian" décor. He invented the blue background technique. We then speak of the "blues of thibault", then the "blues of gien". Dimension: 28x16x25.
