The arabia rug is hand-woven in the mountains of morocco's middle atlas. It is a scale reproduction of a fragment of the world's largest carpet, commissioned in 1903 by the sultan of persia and completed in 2009. The geometric movement takes up the typical arabic forms in a star-shaped interlacing and floral motifs. Classic arabia rugs are usually woven with contrasting oriental patterns. As a rule, it will be particularly beautiful on a wooden or dark floor with modernist style furniture like under a glass coffee table to create balance. This beautiful rug will also look just as chic in a contemporary or minimalist style home, giving a more authentic feel and adding another textured dimension to the room.
