Istrian stone basin from Venice

Palace patio basin. Basin that served to preserve fresh water for consumption, originally there was a bronze cover, see the location of the hinges in the upper part. Five cartouches represent deities: the wind and the sea, the lion of venice, symbol of saint mark. Symbols that remind us of the power of venice on the seas in the sixteenth century, but also its imposing fleet to trade on all the known seas of the planet.
