English plate XIXth filigree decoration Spode – fine earthenware blue and white around 1830

Magnificent antique English plate in fine earthenware, adorned with a rich blue and white floral decoration printed under the glaze. The decoration corresponds to the famous Filigree pattern by Spode, a floral English motif that appeared around 1823. It is distinguished by its large central bouquet presented in a bowl, surrounded by reserves alternating bouquets, floral horns, and abundant vegetal motifs. This example exhibits all the characteristics of English productions from Staffordshire in the first third of the 19th century and can be dated to around 1830. The reverse bears no manufacturer’s mark. It is therefore offered as an antique English plate with Spode's Filigree decoration, without definitive attribution to the Spode factory. A superb collectible piece, particularly decorative, ideal for a collection of antique English earthenware, blue and white transferware, or for wall decoration.
