De Ster armchair 'Habrinkhoek'

A typical Dutch piece of furniture from the fifties! That is what we can rightly call this beautiful armchair. This relatively rare piece of seating furniture is often offered by various other suppliers as a model attributed to the manufacturer "De Ster" and/or B. Spuij. It is certain that the model was made by the furniture factory De Ster, as a page from the delivery program has been preserved, see the last photo. This is a model with the typical 50s looks, high raised armrests, and gracefully curved base and a beautiful dark color. The seat is quite deep but very relaxed. The armchair has been structurally restored by our workshop and is now completely sturdy and solid again, ready for years of living pleasure. Both the filling and the upholstery have also been completely redone. A fabric from the latest collection of the Switch company was chosen, a very beautiful blend of green and white tones with various accents, called Aalborg. A first-class, heavy furniture fabric. The frame is optically in a neat original condition, with a patina perfectly matching its age and purpose.
