Modernist oil still life by swedish painter gösta liljedahl (1908-1993). It was painted by the artist in 1960s. The painting is hand signed in the lower right corner. Oil collage made by applying oil paint on newspaper glued to the panel in such a way that the newspaper was locally visible. Preserved with the original frame. Per gustav (gösta) liljedahl, born july 27, 1908 in motala, died april 16, 1993, was a swedish painter. Liljedahl studied at the otte skölda painting school in stockholm in 1934 and at the bonnén painting school in copenhagen in 1935. He participated in exhibitions of the östgöta art society; he made his solo debut with an exhibition at the galerie moderne in stockholm in 1946. His art consists of landscapes of öland elves, still lifes, interiors, figurines and nudes. Liljedahl is represented in the gävle museum, länsmuseet gävleborg, borås art museum and västerås art museum.
