This product comes from the high atlas mountains and is made from virgin wool by alternating patterns consisting of a single knot and one or two woven lines. These unique traditional berber rugs are distinguished by their abstract reflections and the techniques are passed down from mother to daughter of the ait bouzid, ait shokmane, ait bougamez and ait bou oulli tribes. Each rug tells the story of the woman who wove it, a symbolic language that covers everything from femininity, spirituality, rural life, motherhood, marriage and childbirth. In berber culture, red represents strength and protection, green peace, yellow eternity and blue wisdom.
