We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of tall drawer chests with cupboard tops, dating from the late Georgian to early Victorian period, around 1820-1840, in flame mahogany, originating from Castle Howard, North Yorkshire. Originally sold by Sotheby's in 1991, these exceptional pieces come from one of the grand English castles. These chests are rare as they are equipped with a cupboard top, likely for storing large folded linens. The units come with the original functional keys. Their condition is excellent with some patinated marks due to age and use, but overall in very good order after deep cleaning, waxing, and hand polishing from top to bottom. Dimensions taken at the widest point: height 171 cm, width 65 cm, depth 48.5 cm.
