Showcasing a contrasting grain and a deep patina, it perfectly embodies the high-end "country chic" style. Its "all-sides" design (the back panelled with the same care as the front) makes it an ideal centrepiece for structuring a large living room or library, without being constrained by a wall. It rests on four curved legs known as "biche legs" and opens at the front with three deep drawers assembled in dovetails, highlighted by period bronze handles with a patina. The top, spacious and functional, features a typical mitered frame of traditional cabinetmaking. CONDITION The piece is in a beautiful state of authentic conservation. It shows signs of wear on the top consistent with its age, which adds to its historical charm. The structure is perfectly sound and robust. The wood has been recently nourished with natural wax.
