Oil on canvas framed representing a boat at the dock, a natural and luminous palette of yellow ochre tones, his own, red ochre enhanced with dark blue and green and softened by the light tones of the background. An impression of tranquility despite the clutter of the sails invites us to get on this boat and go on an adventure... Or fishing! Between figuration and abstraction in a very personal style, guy jeanjean, member of the montpellier school painted his region with fervour. Work exhibited for the salon de la marine 1966. Signed lower right. Marked on the back g.jeanjean av, of the juvenal montpellier bridge. Note a small burst of paint difficult to see when you do not know (see photo), good condition of use. Canvas: 81x65cm - frame: 89x73 prof: 3cm pds: 4kg. Colissimo delivery includes ad valorem insurance.
