Mid-Century Multifaceted Sommerso Murano Glass Vase by Flavio Poli for Alessandro Mandruzzato, Italy

Stunning multifaceted mid-century sommerso glass vase designed by flavio poli for alessandro mandruzzato (murano, italy, 1960s). The vase is made of thick blue, yellow and transparent glass. It is extremely decorative. Beautifully faceted glass. Original sticker slightly worn but still intact (can be removed very easily if needed). Height 16 cm; width (largest point) 9 cm; depth (largest point) 9 cm. Weight: 1 kg. Excellent vintage condition. No cracks or chips, a few small scratches. "sommerso" is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
