Coffee set, oil on cardboard early twentieth century

Small oil on cardboard late nineteenth or early twentieth century, represents a fine porcelain coffee set from japan. At the end of the nineteenth century, japan was fashionable, and tea and coffee sets imported from the land of the rising sun flourished on european tables. Did the painter want to immortalize his recent acquisition of his service. History does not tell. But the result, in an impressionist style, is very successful.
