Bronze and marble lamp in Hollywood Regency style.

Sophisticated Hollywood Regency style table lamp from France, made in the 1960s/70s of the last century. The centrepiece is a free-standing bronze sculpture with a patina that stylises a giraffe stretching to reach the leaves of a palm tree. The original patina of the metal is extraordinarily well preserved, displaying an aged golden sheen with subtle darkened areas that enhance the intricate details chiselled into the trunk of the palm and the body of the animal. The structure rests firmly on a robust and elegant circular base made of polished marble or alabaster in soft cream tones with very gentle natural veining, providing the visual and physical weight characteristic of high-quality lighting pieces from the era. It includes a conical shade made of linen or textured white fabric that diffuses light softly and warmly, perfectly balancing the weight of the brass. Dimensions: 36 cm high and 15 cm in diameter.
