Very beautiful and rare bowl by svend åge larsen (sl.) estimated 1970s. About svend åge larsen: Svend åge larsen (1931-2004) was a danish visual artist and ceramicist who also worked as a teacher at thorstedlund art college. He was educated at the school of applied arts and the royal porcelain factory. Larsen worked in several art forms, including ceramics, painting and wax pastels. His ceramic works were often made in stoneware, where he experimented with form and glazes. He is gradually becoming one of the more popular danish ceramicists and therefore his products are likely to increase in value over time. The bowl is without chips, cracks or other defects. (the old owner put felt pads under the bowl to protect the surface it stood on, they can easily be removed again if desired) It measures 18.5 cm in diameter, 10.5 cm in height and weighs 925 grams. Available in many colours and shades. Packed securely and shipped with insurance.
