Small lady's desk in marquetry, Louis XV style – first part of the 20th century.
This small lady's desk in rosewood and rosewood marquetry, crafted in the Louis XV style, features a delicately curved silhouette with a refined decoration of cross patterns. The drop front, adorned with a finely chiselled bronze keyhole and equipped with its functional key, opens to reveal a charming interior composed of five small drawers around a central niche, creating an intimate space dedicated to writing. The undulating apron conceals an additional drawer with ornate handles and a functional lock. The whole rests on curved legs, highlighted by bronze mounts and sabot feet, giving this secretary a precious, feminine, and timeless presence. Restored in our cabinetmaking workshop, finished with shellac and wax. Period: first half of the 20th century. 561V.
