Chesterfield Club 3-seater canapé restored in Mid-Century Modern style leather

We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent three-seater Chesterfield Club sofa, completely restored, in Bordeaux leather, with hand-carved feet. This sofa is part of a set that also includes a matching club armchair with a footrest. This mid-century piece is well-designed, decorative, and extremely comfortable, originally intended for the libraries and gentlemen's offices of the 18th century, it is now a classic and iconic piece that fits perfectly anywhere. The sofa has been fully restored: stripped of its old colour, hand-dyed six times, aged, sealed, waxed, and polished. The wood is also French polished. It is the only Chesterfield sofa in the world with this exact colour finish. Dimensions (at the widest point): height 79 cm, width 189 cm, depth 91 cm, seat height 44 cm. Please note that the hand-dyed leather should be protected from direct sunlight to avoid drying out and discolouring the leather. The period leather may show natural patina with cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular waxing to preserve moisture.
