Description
Iconic living room table called "CIRCLE", created by Pierre Paulin in 1960 for ARTIFORT. It is made up of a metal foot and a blond wooden top in excellent condition. No scratches or missing on the top Very slight signs of wear on the foot. Pierre Paulin is one of the greatest designers of his time. He finds his influences in Scandinavian furniture and in the American productions of Charles Eames and Florence Knoll. In 1958, the furniture publishing house Artifort, based in Maastricht, decided to move towards contemporary furniture and brought together a team of designers including Pierre Paulin He participated in the development of the Denon wing of the Louvre museum , and in 1970 designed the private apartments of President Pompidou at the Élysée, then the offices of President Francois Mitterand.
