Vintage oak trading post

Old solid oak trading post of the 60s. This very beautiful counter is very unusual and rare for sale. Its graphic details give it a very elegant and totally contemporary look. There is a very nice décor work on the front, with its large wooden chopsticks, perfectly affixed in interlockings, drawing a very interesting and refined pattern. The matte black paint affixed to the counterforms reinforces the graphic appearance of the furniture. Sliding curtains on each side are present and give access to the central storage, consisting of two long sturdy shelves. The back side of the countertop is topped by two drawers and a black painted stocking. The tray is very thick and has a beautiful general patina. The furniture was completely restored by my cabinetmaker, the wood was stripped of its old thick varnish, laid bare, treated, varnished on the parts in raw wood and painted in matte black and then waxed. The counter rests on 4 tapered feet in brass metal. We see that the layer of walleye has gone in places.
