Danish mid-century teak sideboard with sliding doors

This Danish sideboard from the 1960s is designed with balance in mind. The slender body, recessed wooden base, and two sleek sliding doors give the piece a calm appearance characteristic of Scandinavian design from this period. The warm teak veneer continues beautifully across the front and is framed by a refined border. The natural wood grain gives the surface vibrancy without becoming busy. Old finishes have been removed, the veneer has been hand-sanded, and then treated with a matte furniture oil. This brings out the warm colour of the teak while maintaining its natural look.
