Thonet foldable lounge chair. Very good state of conservation, canework without gaps, there is a barely visible 1.5cm hole on the seat and back, well stretched. The price takes this into account. Structure in good condition. The backrest is adjustable. Suitable for tall people. The design of this foldable lounge chair was created by Michael Thonet (1796 - 1871). ------------------------------- Michael Thonet is a German-Austrian cabinetmaker and industrialist born July 2, 1796 in Boppard, Germany , and died on March 3, 1871 in Vienna. He uses a process to bend wood, and is one of the first to have rationalized production. material: rattan / black stained beech wood period: 1880 / 1920. Presence of traces of wear and use consistent with the age of this rare piece.
