LC4 Cassina lounge chair Louis Vuitton limited edition, Perriand, Le Corbusier and Jeanneret

Cassina collaborated with louis vuitton in 2014 to create a limited edition of the chaise longue lc4 and pay tribute to the 110th anniversary of the birth of charlotte perriand. The lc4 cp (=charlotte perriand) was officially present during design miami/art basel miami beach 2013. Here the number 0355 out of only 1, 000 products. Here is the original description: "the leather comes from the louis vuitton tannery “la comète” in estambourg, belgium. The tannery only uses vegetable dyeing processes and has done so for 4 generations. There is no metal or metal treatment. Chrome in the process. The hides they use are mainly the best quality calfskins. The processing of the hides includes pressing with felt, followed by a softening process with the use of vegetable and animal fats (as for lv leather bags). The hides are then dried and stretched. The preparation process for each hide takes one week. Natural saddle leather is free of surface protection and extremely soft to the touch. The lack of surface protection makes it makes it very delicate and sensitive to both light and heat. We suggest exposing the new mattress for 10 days to light without objects on it and without headrest. The final appearance of the cuoietto leather will be colored natural tobacco (due to a natural oxidation process)." the natural leather of this lc4 is slightly patinated and has a lighter area under the headrest. This will probably disappear when exposed to light without the headrest. There are a few small inconspicuous stains, one larger stain at the top (see last photo).
