Vintage table lamp Timor designed by Louis Kalff for Philips, 1970s

Vintage table lamp by Philips, model Timor, designed by Louis Kalff in the 1950s. The lamp features an iconic disc-shaped shade in dark green painted metal, a metal stand, and a round metal base with a switch. The Philips logo is imprinted on the base. This modernist design combines simplicity and elegance and is typical of Kalff's progressive style, who led Philips' design department for decades. He also designed the famous Philips logo. The lamp provides an atmospheric, diffused light and is a real eye-catcher in any interior. This Timor is in good vintage condition with normal, light signs of wear. These include minor scratches here and there, especially on the base. The shade itself has only minor paint damage along the edge, which is not bothersome (see photos).
