Large ceramic tea service signed Vallauris, vintage 1960.

This service is made of handcrafted ceramic with a speckled jasper effect glaze and a stylised hand-painted floral and vegetal decoration. The pieces date from the Mid-Century production of the 1950s-1960s, corresponding to the golden age of the Vallauris workshops. The set is guaranteed authentic by an engraved "Vallauris handmade" stamp under the base and the handwritten mention "Hand decoration". The dimensions of the service are significant, particularly with large "breakfast" cups and a generously sized teapot. The pieces are stackable for functional storage. Teapot dimensions: It measures 12 cm in height with a generous total span of 25 cm from spout to handle. Sugar bowl dimensions: It has a total height with lid of 13 cm and a width of 11 cm. Cup dimensions: They have a large opening diameter of 10.5 cm and a height of 6 cm. Saucer dimensions: They have a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 2 cm. The lot in very good condition therefore includes 1 large teapot, 1 sugar bowl with lid, 3 cups with their saucers (plus a fourth cup as an extra with a very small chip shown in the photo).
