Writing table Napoleon III in marquetry, 19th century

Superb writing table in the Napoleon III style, dating from the 19th century, richly decorated with marquetry of precious woods. The top, featuring a central floral design, is adorned with fillets and geometric patterns in marquetry. Its two drop-leaves allow the width to extend to 118.5 cm when the table is opened. The front opens with a large drawer decorated with scrolls and plant motifs in marquetry. The whole piece rests on four turned and blackened legs, enhanced with gilded bronze elements, joined by an elegant X-shaped stretcher.
