This lithograph “Au Vent de Noroît - Le Port” is signed by Henri Rivière and has a red stamp in the lower left corner. The work is authentic and old. Regarding its condition, note that there is a height difference between the top and bottom in the margin, a vertical crease on the left, and an ink mark on the left. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with soft-ground etching, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theater of the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing performances by creating innovative colored sets. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving, establishing himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
