Pair of ceramic wall plates – African profiles – Sarreguemines, c. 1960. Two glazed ceramic plates with a high-relief decoration depicting African profiles (woman and man). Glossy black glaze, polychrome details, ivory background, and black rim. French work from the 1960s. Dimensions & Weight. Diameter: 23 cm. Height: 2.5 cm. Weight: ~500 g each. Material/Technique. Relief molded ceramic, glossy polychrome glaze. Condition. Very good overall condition: glossy glaze, no chips on the rim. Minor signs of wear on the reverse (small marks, old string ties). A small repair/touch-up is visible on the lip of one figure (see close-ups). Remarks. Mid-century decorative pieces, ready to hang. Typical iconography from 1950s/60s productions.
