Antique brushed steel and brass fireplace screen – foldable – 1960s

Elegant antique fireplace screen, composed of a brushed steel structure enhanced with gilded brass details. The finely woven mesh, in excellent condition, provides optimal protection while allowing light and heat to pass through. The basic steel structure has been coated with a heat-resistant black paint, with the exception of the front, which has been deliberately left in its raw state to reveal its metallic texture. This subtle contrast between the dark side walls and the light facade gives the whole a very harmonious visual balance. Its sober lines, softened by discreet curved patterns, make it both functional and decorative. The two side flaps fold easily backwards, allowing for space-saving storage. A beautiful presence in a classic or contemporary interior. Very well preserved.
