The Glaçon model was designed for the Wasserturm hotel in Cologne, for which Andrée Putman created the interior design at the turn of the 1990s. The floor lamp consists of two large vertical panels of frosted glass, held by metal spacers and set into a rectangular brushed metal base. This ventilated metal base houses the light source. The light, diffused from the base through the satin glass, produces a lighting effect that is both soft and cool. Literature: Deutsche Bauzeitung, no. 4, 1991. Sophie Tasma-Anargyros, Andrée Putman, Paris, Éditions Norma, 1997, pp. 30-35. The dimmer, originally placed at the back, has been removed to allow the lamp to be connected to a switched socket. It can be reinstalled by an electrician. Two LED bulbs. It should also be noted that the two side glasses, which were broken, have been replaced with elements purchased from Écart international. Two Écart international labels are present on the base, beneath the glass structure (not visible in the photo). The model is no longer offered by Écart, presumably due to the fragility of the glass panels during transport.
