Abstract stone sculpture, Danish design, 1980s, made in Denmark

The abstract stone sculpture – a couple in an embrace (mini) – was created in the 1980s and is of Danish manufacture. A small but highly expressive sculpture in polished stone, depicting two figures in a close embrace in an abstract style. The modernist form and organic shape beautifully highlight the stone’s natural veining in dark, deep tones – the perfect ‘little accent’ for mid-century modern, modern classic or Japandi interiors. It looks great on a chest of drawers, bookcase, coffee table or as a detail in displays featuring vintage ceramics.
