We are delighted to offer for sale this very beautiful late Victorian serpentine front chest of drawers, with claw and ball feet, made from flame mahogany. A highly aesthetic piece, skillfully crafted, featuring various refined antique details, including the carving around the top edge reminiscent of Thomas Chippendale, the claw and ball feet, and of course its serpentine front, it is a true feat of style and design. In terms of condition, it has been carefully deep cleaned, waxed, and hand polished from top to bottom. It shows some light signs of wear related to age and use, as one would expect. Dimensions: Height: 90 cm, Width: 123 cm, Depth: 56 cm (measured at the widest point). This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough. Please refer to the detailed photos which are an integral part of the description regarding the condition. Note that vintage and original items such as leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of creases and wear; annual waxing is recommended to prevent dehydration, and it is advised not to expose hand-dyed leather to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration.
