Kinetic Spiral Light Sculpture by Werner Epstein, 1972

Rare Avant Garde lamp designed by French designer Werner Epstein for Inter Neo. This design was exhibited at the 1972 'Salon des Artistes et Decorateurs' held at the Grand Palais des Champs Elysees in Paris, and is published in the original exhibition catalogue. This lamp with its sculptural form will rotate the double helical aluminum strips slowly by the heat of lamp making a magical ethereal lighting effect. The spirals will rotate faster as the temperature of the light bulb rises, creating a soothing meditative lighting effect. This is very rare collectors item in very good condition.
