Description
Patinated bronze bust by georges omerth (french sculptor, pupil of sculptor albert-ernest carrier-belleuse. Active as an artist from 1895 and 1925, he was very productive and recognized for his quality work. This bust depicts a soldier, paul rottier, who died in the field of honour in 1918. It is of very good quality with a fine chisel offering a lot of details. The old patina also adds character to this piece. Good general condition. 22cm high. 7.5cm X 7.5cm for the base. 1.6kg.
