According to fernand cian: terracotta bust of richard wagner. Grey patina, editing, unsigned, circa 1930. On a cubic base of black marble. __ferdinand cian (italian 1889-1954), full name fernando ciancianaini - italian by birth (born in carrara italy in 1889 and died in 1954. French sculptor of italian origin. He moved to paris and became a pupil of alexandre falguière, worked and studied in léo laporte-blairsy's studio and received an honourable mention in 1921. Exhibited at the salon des artists français from 1911-1928. Head height alone 24 cm - with base 33 cm - weight 3, 850 kg. Very good condition, slight cleaning of the patina to be expected.
